Welcome to
Papakura District Hockey Club which plays in the Counties Manukau Hockey competition playing on the Pukekohe based water turf .
We have a Senior Womens team which will be playing in the B grade of the Counties competition during 2011. If there are any women interested in joining our team, please contact either Sue Neems or Linda Lawson for any details. The team has started their weekly fitness trainings at Rosehill College on a Thursday evenings, 6-30 to 7-30 and this will then lead on to a further hour of hockey skills on the college turf closer to the start of the playing season.
To be able to get a mens team up and running for 2011, a coach/co-ordinator is required. If anyone is interested in taking on this voluntary role, and this could also be someone who wishes to play, please contact either Linda Lawson or Colin Rundle as soon as possible.
Over the last four seasons many of our mens uniform items have never been returned to the club. There are the orange/white/black playing shirts with orange, white or yellow numbers on the back. The plain black playing shorts with large white embroidered PDHC on the front. Orange socks with two black stripes, which were especially made as part of an alternate strip. If any of these items have been found they can be dropped off to 7 Bexley Place, Papakura, or contact Linda Lawson - home phone 2987786, email - linda.lawson@xtra.co.nz so they can be collected. These items are expensive and difficult to replace and any that are returned would be appreciated.
